1) though the ball could have been stopped it was a hard kick and things happen at ALL levels of play. I could not believe how the commentators ripped him apart saying things like "well his career is over" or "that ball would have been stopped by the pee wee league" etc.
2) seriously!? he was so distraught over a g-friend that dumped him months ago that he couldn't get his shit together for the first world cup game.
3) that poor girl's is now going to be the center of irrational anger if people actually believe that. What happens if they have another bad game? Still her fault?
4)USA doesn't suck. We played well and deserved the outcome.They keep trying to blame everything on this goalies mistake.It is just insulting.

4) I agree! We're not very good, but we certainly don't suck. I thought USA played better than England the first half, and we came closer to scoring in the second half (w/ Altidore) than England did!
4) I agree that the US played well and a goal was deserved. But not THAT goal. The US deserved a good goal. That goal was painful. It got the job done, but it gutted me.
