INVICTUS

So did anyone see Invictus? Can South Africa re-produce that spirit to progress? Will an African team finally make a mark on this tournament? I cant see it myself but i am not a romantic dreamer like John......

    OK, I know our picks are still TOP SECRET, but I can't hold it back any longer: South Africa will beat France and advance out of Group A!!!
    Never bet against the home team - USA in 1994, Korea AND Japan in 2002 - they always advance, and all of Africa will be rooting them on as they take on an egocentric French team that does not really deserve to be there anyway (ask any Irishman). South Africa is a pretty good team, perhaps as good as 2002 South Korea. The problem I have been having is that the African teams are so inconsistent - it's hard to predict how they'll do, but it's not just South Africa that will get a bump from home field - crowds could push Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Nigeria over the top in tough group stage games. I think there could be several cinderella stories this year!
