Netherlands vs. Uruguay World Cup: Mark van Bommel Somehow Avoids Being Sent Off

I agree with what he says about this Dutch midfielder.

  1. It's true - he should have had several yellows. I have been rooting for the Dutch, but I am finding myself liking them a little bit less and less every game. They embellish getting tackled quite a bit, and although they find ways to score goals, they have not been as fun to watch as Germany or Spain (who manage to completely stay away from yellows by always having the ball). I'm glad Netherlands beat Uruguay, but I hope Spain wins it all! On another note, is anyone else really sick of the commentating of Ian and John Harkes? These guys are on a mission to make controversy about officiating (I think that second Dutch goal was legit and not worthy of trying to spark a controversy), and they are always so negative - e.g. if a team scores it's all about the terrible defensive let-down as opposed to giving the offense some credit.
