EPL predictions

European soccer is back. I have not had much success predicting standings, but here is how I think the EPL will stack up this year: 1)Manchester United, 2)Manchester City, 3)Chelsea, 4)Liverpool, 5)Tottenham, 6)Arsenal, 7)Newcastle

Euro 2012 picks are starting to come in. I haven't looked at anyone's picks yet, and I have posted mine above just so y'all know there is no funny business. I'm not too confident about Group A, but I still like my chances.

Euro 2012! Group B is a nightmare - I have no idea how that is going to shape up. I am once again rooting for La Furia Roja to win it all!

Champion's League Final

So once again my European league and Champion's League predictions have been way off, but I am fairly confident that Bayern will beat Chelsea tomorrow (my prediction: 2-0). I think I will be rooting for Chelsea for the first time in my life. On to the European Cup next! I will put together a betting pool for Euro 2012.

Champions League quarterfinals

Here are the quarterfinal matchups (and my picks in parentheses):

Real Madrid vs. APOEL (Real Madrid)
Olympique de Marseille vs. Bayern Munich (Bayern)
Benfica vs. Chelsea (Chelsea)
AC Milan vs. Barcelona (Barcelona)

My predictions for the semifinals:
Real Madrid over Bayern Munich
Barcelona over Chelsea

Championship:
Barcelona over Real Madrid

La Liga is the better than the Bundesliga, Serie A, and the EPL (for example, Athletic Club Bilboa just dominated Man United in Europa League). Barcelona one of the best all time (despite the fact that they are going to finish second in La Liga).

EPL Predictions

Here are my predictions, as of today, August 12th, (in order)

Manchester United
Liverpool
Chelsea
Tottenham
Arsenal
Everton
Manchester City

The golden boot : Andy Carroll.

EPL predictions

The English Premier League is back underway this weekend. I didn't do so well with my last year predictions (but I did predict Man U to win). Here are my picks for the top 7 this year (in order):

Manchester United
Liverpool
Manchester City
Chelsea
Tottenham
Arsenal
Everton

Manchester United should be as good as last year, assuming their new goalie works out. With Fabregas finally off to Barcelona, Arsenal will drop out of the Champions League, and I predict Liverpool will edge a dangerous Manchester City (Sergio Aguero) due to the fact that they will not have any European tournament distractions/extra games (go reds!). Fernando Torres will be back in form with Chelsea and will win the golden boot (with Luis Suarez right on his tail). On the relegation front, I will be rooting hard from Swansea to stay up.
